Mrs. Hegan and Button playing ball “Some activities are joyful and don’t need to be explained - just like learning!” I love playing with my dogs, and I love to learn. Here are some things I’ve done that I’d like to share with you. I am the 5th and 6th grade resource room teacher at Thomaston Grammar School. I am a veteran teacher with more than 24 years experience and have worked with children at all levels. I received my B.S. in Education from Wheelock College in Boston, MA in 1981, and my Masters in Education of the Deaf from Smith College in Northampton, MA in 1986. I have taught in MSAD 50 since 1998 and have had the opportunity to work with children who struggle with literacy and learning at all grade levels from K-8. When weather permits, you might find me with my husband outside biking, kayaking, snowshoeing, or being taken for a run with my two very active Jack Russell Terriers, Oreo and Button.
